Ryder and Radek were known as exceptional athletic competitors and even better teammates. Through their ability to compete they learned many valuable life lessons. Due to the current economic landscape and growing cost of athletics, the opportunity for our youth to play sports has become less prevalent and in turn, more of a privilege.
The R and R Foundation will set out to ensure that no youth in Whitecourt will ever be held back from exploring their athletic potential due to financial limitations.
The Ryder and Radek Foundation
The (Ryder and Radek) R & R Memorial Foundation would allow for under privileged children in Whitecourt the chance to play minor hockey that otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to do so. I think this is perfect way to keep their memory alive as it factors in their love of sport as well as giving back to those in need.
“R&R Memorial Foundation is planning to raise $10,000.00 this year on Fund-raising campaigns. It will cost our organization an estimate of $500.00 to raise this. The money raised will be going to help under privileged children in Whitecourt to play minor hockey. For more information, please contact Nathalie at 780-286-9119. Our address is Box 2525, Whitecourt, AB T7S 2A1 and we are incorporated in Whitecourt, Alberta”
